The Land and the Unfolded Map examines the intimate relationship of Native Americans with their land. The skin reveals itself as a landscape, the jewel becomes a strategic communication medium, drawing unforgettable borders, projecting possible paths of escape on a nomadic, vital and irrefutable map, which guarantees each tribe its right to stand at the center of the world.

The pattern of the palm of the hand – and the lines that crisscross it – which appears centrally in one of the videos, will also establish a visual connection with the light installation integrated in 2020 in the gable of le Delta and made by the same duo Brognon Rollin. Première ligne is composed of neon tubes that transpose in light the intersection of the « lines of destiny » and « of heart », nestled in the palm of a hand belonging to an anonymous woman from Namur who continued to exercise her function during the first confinement imposed following the Covid-19 health crisis, and to whom this work pays tribute.
